Three Slow Breathing Drills for a Calmer Day
These three drills work at a desk, in the car or in bed. Each one takes about two minutes.

Why slow breaths help you pause
When the day gets hectic, breathing turns quick and shallow without us noticing. A slow breath is a free, easy way to stop for a moment, and you can do it anywhere.
The drills
- Belly breathing. Rest a hand on your stomach. Breathe in through your nose so the hand rises, then breathe out slowly.
- Box breathing. Breathe in for four counts, hold for four, breathe out for four and hold for four. Repeat five times.
- Longer exhale. Breathe in for three counts and out for five. The slower exhale helps you settle.
Attach a cue
Link a drill to something you already do, like brushing your teeth. BreathiZen is made to support easy breathing and healthy lungs, and four pumps fit into the same moment.*
